THE CULTURE OF GIVING

“The Modern Day Heroes”
AN HBI CSR ACTIVITY

An act of unity was once again showed by the employees and residents of Honeycomb Builders Incorporated as two batches of call for donations were held last January 22 and February 26 to give aid to our kababayans in need.

Tired and restless from the whole day of work, HBI volunteers did not waste a single moment to be of service. Numbers of volunteers from different company departments spent hours packing and organizing the goods that were delivered.

A total of 166 packs of goods, inclusive of canned goods, rice grains and toiletries, 10 boxes and 24 sacks full of clothes were collected and packed not only by the employees but also the residents who generously poured out their donations and happily cheered the company for support.

Truly, it was a fun yet quite dangerous journey for the first team. The first batch saw the city still covered of hazardous dusts and the roads on the way were not as stable and sturdy as they were before the numerous quakes. However, a great progress was observed as the second batch saw a huge improvement of the city as its day-to-day activities have been slowly getting back to normal, recovering from the past calamity that struck them.

Two separate batches of relief operations were executed as HBI volunteers provided relief goods to San Vicente Manalupang National High school (evacuation center) and cities of Taal, and Calaca.

These acts of generosity and solidarity, Honeycomb Builders Inc. was able to attract and promote good and positive values that is aimed to be extended beyond the company. And with this act of sharing, HBI and its residents were able to reflect the shared core values-God-centeredness, family spirit and leadership which can be transcended throughout the communities all over the country.
